Haydn has been a freelance professional drummer since he graduated from Drumtech as the Outstanding Student of the Year in 1995. He has worked in every field: functions, cabaret, cruises, working men’s clubs, blues festivals, big bands, brass bands, classical orchestras, tours, jazz, studio recording, film scores, panto and theatre of all kinds. Haydn is a member of the Drumtech teaching faculty and lectures on the BMus degree in Pop Music Performance. He has written for Drummer and Rhythm magazines and runs his own jazz trio.

Haydn currently works for one of the country’s busiest corporate function bands The Choice, whose previous drummers include Gavin Harrison.
